Breezy looks full of femininity came down the runway at Marissa Webb, flanked by a front row filled with top fashion bloggers and stylish celebrities. I enjoyed the effortless way in which Webb created a collection of clothes that will transition easily from the office to date night to vacation. This spring and summer, look to Marissa Webb for ladylike ruffled silk, relaxed tie-waist pants, and beautifully textured lace. Marissa Webb SS17 is fresh, modern, and playful and is a collection every woman can incorporate into her wardrobe.

Romantic and dreamy, the Erin Fetherston SS17 collection was one that felt most close to my heart. Models dressed in flowy swaths of silk chiffon floated down the runway in clothes that made all of us dream of spring and summer. Imagine feminine Parisian style infused with just a touch of California boho easiness; a harmonious blend that will bring spring weddings, outdoor summer events, and tropical vacations to life.

Glamorous fashion icons of the 70’s strutted down the runway at Jenny Packham. Her designs have been seen on everyone from Taylor Swift to Blake Lively to the Duchess of Cambridge and it was easy to imagine pieces from this particular collection gracing the red carpet or making a statement at a beautiful black tie event. Packham’s designs possess a unique feminine strength, yet they never outshine the wearer.

Carmen Marc Valvo: Website

The Carmen Marc Valvo show is always a popular one; the room filled with excited guests and packed full to standing room. I have to say, both years I’ve attended Carmen Marc Valvo’s shows I’ve really enjoyed the production and soundtrack; it’s always powerful, uplifting, and hopeful. This year, Carmen Marc Valvo created a collection of youthful, playful, and innocent designs with bows, stripes, and 3D florals. He always seems to strike the right blend between beautiful neutrals and pops of strong red and this year was no exception. This spring and summer, we can look to Carmen Marc Valvo for pieces we can easily wear with sneakers and flats… Pieces that lighten our wardrobe with a hint of whimsical quality.

I got to attend this show with my mother, so it was an extra special one for me. Not to mention Zac Posen is the creator of the most beautiful, feminine, fairytale designs… For a classic fashion lover like myself, witnessing his particular brand of art takes my breath away. The way Posen bends fabric and creates volume and movement is truly an art form; one that makes women all over the world feel beautiful and special when they wear his work. It’s no surprise his designs will be seen everywhere from the red carpet to beautiful weddings and luxe vacations… And I can’t wait to see who wears them!

Chiara Boni La Petite Robe: Website

By far the most fun show I attended at NYFW, Chiara Boni’s La Petite Robe was filled with a lively catwalk, playful models – some even spraying cans of hair spray, and beautiful clothes with a vintage vibe. Boni’s designs are easy to wear, with versatile styles and accessible price points. I loved the color palette of jet black, blush pink, aquamarine, and navy. Chiara Boni incorporated lots of feminine details for SS17… Voluminous sleeves, floral appliqués and cutouts, and lots of ruffles. The entire collection was elegant and as I mentioned, incredibly feminine; I found myself wanting every look that waltzed down the runway.
