Midi-length lace dresses are my favorite and it seems they are some of your favorites as well. I think it’s because this fit-and-flare style in a midi length is incredibly flattering on every body type. And… The beautiful lace just feels so feminine and sweet. I love this dress because I haven’t seen one in this vivid cornflower blue before; it is such a gorgeous color!
I’m more than just a little sad this pom clutch seems to be sold out; I can’t believe it because it only came out a couple weeks ago. If I were you, I would bookmark the page and keep checking back in the next week or so. I think they will probably restock. If you’re craving a playful clutch ASAP for your spring travels, I’ve linked some other ones I have my eye on down below in the shoppable widget. Just click the arrows on either side to scroll through and when you see an item you like, just click it to shop.
Fit Details: Both the dress and the shoes are true to size! Just follow the sizing guide for the dress; I did and my size fit perfectly.
Back in Tucson’s Barrio Viejo (see my last look in this neighborhood here) to capture this easy sweater + jeans combo. As I mentioned in one of my recent posts, I’m currently featuring lots of looks you can wear now and later. If you’re like me, your holiday budget has come and gone and you’re thinking of ways to maximize your spending so you can get the most out of your new additions both now and as the temperatures rise in the coming months. This sweater fits into that now-and-later category because it can easily be worn now (just add some great over-the-knee suede boots to those white jeans) and later when you wear it with chic flat sandals as I’ve done in this look.
This sweater immediately drew my eye because of its simple design and the feminine layer of silky chiffon at the bottom. It is so flattering and by pairing items from the same white/ivory color family together I was able to create a long, lean silhouette. Wouldn’t this look gorgeous on vacation or spring break?
Fit Details:Sweater is beautifully flattering and runs true to size. Jeans are stretchy and soft – I’m wearing the same size I wear in Citizens of Humanity brand. You do not need to go up a size as you do with most white jeans. Shoes run true to size; order up if you’re in between sizes.
I picked up this beautiful pale blue dress before the event at Kendra Scott I hosted. The intricate embroidery and beading make it a really special piece. And the deep ‘v’ and flowing bell sleeves make it extremely flattering on the body. I paired it with my beloved over-the-knee boots to beat the chill in Denver, but once I was in Arizona I paired it with these dainty heels. Who says you have to wear pink or red on Valentine’s Day? This dress would be beautiful for any date night in your future.
One of my favorite spots in Tucson is the Casa Adobes Plaza, home to some of the cutest boutiques, spas, and restaurants in the city. My mom and I love stopping here to browse the shops (fair warning: they do change out regularly) and enjoy the beautiful courtyards. Wildflower is one of our favorite lunch spots, so we always make sure to schedule our visit around lunchtime. I recommend the tomato bisque or the tuna guacamole for starters, and the ahi chopped salad or the short rib tacos for entrees. They make really nice cocktails as well. If you don’t drink alcohol, order a fresh raspberry lemonade from the bar; it’s really refreshing.
Fit Details:Top fits true to size but I would suggest going one size up if you’re in between sizes; I think it’s more flattering when it’s a bit loose. I found the pants‘ size guide to be perfectly accurate. I ordered according to my measurements and the cropped pants fit me like a glove. I absolutely love the bright color.
I really love the desert. Perhaps my opinion is heightened by the fact I’m escaping Denver’s cold. But each morning I feel excited to walk outside and see the beautiful colors painted across the desert landscape; purple mountains, sage brush, green cacti, and beige quail quickly walking past. It’s so serene and so alive at the same time.
I mentioned on Instagram that I’ve felt a lot of self-doubt lately; wondering if I’m where I’m supposed to be and doing what I’m supposed to be doing. We are truly our own worst critics. But being in the desert this week has given me peace of mind when nothing else has. And for that I’m so thankful.
This beautiful blue floral dress with the most delicate tassel straps would be perfect for your upcoming vacations, spring break, and festivals. It’s airy and fresh and the material moves every time you do. Try pairing it with some statement jewelry for an even more eclectic look.
Fit Details: This dress runs true to size. It’s really light and airy and feels like you’re wearing nearly nothing, plus it’s so beautiful on the body. It is short but I didn’t find it too short or difficult to move around in. I’m 5’7″ for reference.
Saying hello from the desert in Arizona! I escaped Denver’s snow to visit family and spend time in the warmth. Plus, warm weather provided me the perfect opportunity to style some new spring items. I know many of you are shopping for vacations and Spring Break in the next few months too, so I will be sharing these resort/spring looks over the next several posts.
This outfit is one of my favorites because the bright colors in the colorful earrings and yellow off-the-shoulder top just pop off these crisp white ankle jeans. The embellished neutral tote and tassel heels are both accessories that make a statement with their details, but remain versatile for outfit mixing and matching because of their neutral colors.
I wore this outfit while exploring Tucson’s historic Barrio Viejo district; several blocks of homes and businesses painted in the most delightful bright colors. Barrio Viejo is the perfect place to take photos and experiment with your photography if you’re just starting out like I am. The buildings are photo-worthy enough, but when you add in the little succulents planted here and there and the charming old signs… It becomes something really special. I recently saw a “Travel Photography” course at a local university and I’ve been so tempted to take it. I would love to learn more so that when I visit amazing places like this I can document my memories.
Fit Details: This top runs just on the smaller side of true to size; if you’re in between sizes, go up one size. The jeans run true to size in my opinion. I’m wearing the same size I wear in Citizens of Humanity and one size smaller than I wear in Frame. The shoes I’m wearing run very true to size and they’re very easy to walk in; I wore them around all day!
I wanted to share this outfit with you because it’s one you can easily work into your wardrobe and wear on casual days. As soon as I saw this vintage-inspired army jacket with the beaded detail on the sleeve I knew it would go perfectly with so many pieces in my closet. I’ve been traveling the past few days and I’ve worn this jacket almost every day; it’s effortless, soft, and oh-so-comfy. Pair it with this equally cozy thermal and you have an outfit you’ll find yourself wearing nearly 24/7.
This week I was invited to visit Denver’s W by Worth showroom to shop their current Spring 2017 collection. The collection is available to view and try on by appointment only until January 25th. The W by Worth shopping process is a more personal, exclusive one and I’m going to walk you through it in this post.
Step One: Set Up An Appointment
With W by Worth, you work with one specific stylist who gets to know you on a personal basis and brings together shopping and styling seamlessly. Leigh is your go-to W by Worth contact in the Denver area. There are lots of appointment options depending on your needs and time constraints, which is one of the many reasons to shop with Leigh. You can come in for an appointment and browse, Leigh can pull some accessories to match your favorite W by Worth pieces to style a seasonal wardrobe, and you can even ask Leigh to come to your home and do a complete closet edit to discover what items you need to add and what items you need to purge.

Step Two: Try On Your Styled Looks
It was nice to come out of the cold and step into a room full of fresh spring fabrics and light textures because it made me look forward to warmer temperatures and spring vacations. As we stocked my dressing room and I began to try everything on, Leigh told me about the various W by Worth fabrics and pieces I was choosing. I love the high-quality fabrics of W by Worth pieces (take a look at my ivory coat and skirt set and my silk blouse and pencil skirt from their brand) and Leigh told me their fabrics come from the same mills as some of my favorite high-end fashion designers. She pointed out finishing touches like tassel trim and lined jackets that make the pieces not only beautiful, but ones you’ll find yourself reaching for again and again.
Some of my favorites? This chic white tweed jacket paired with the most versatile pocket tank. A vacation-ready look made up of a double-layer off-shoulder tee and beautifully textured full skirt. This pink jacket that made me feel as if I should be strolling the streets of Paris. And this incredibly flattering off-shoulder blouse would look great anytime, anywhere.
Leigh made me feel incredible while I was trying the items on and helped me choose the proper sizes. She told me they also work with a seamstress at their location to ensure that each piece will fit perfectly before I take it home.
Step Three: Order Your Favorites
Once I had narrowed down my favorites (the most difficult part of this whole process because I want everything from their spring collection) Leigh and I sat down to discuss the color and fabric options of each piece and go over my complete spring order.
We said our goodbyes over champagne and sweets; I will come back to W by Worth when my clothing arrives in a couple of weeks and have the items altered by a seamstress so they fit perfectly. I can’t wait… Spring seems just around the corner.
When I saw this top, I fell head over heels. The striped tee style reminded me of the chic girls I would always see in Paris. And the tulle sleeves just feel so feminine. Apparently I’m not the only one who adores it because the shirt is nearly sold out. So be quick if you’re looking to order one!
